Human Resources (HR) Portal

HR Potral logo

The Human Resources Portal (https://hr.nasa.gov) is the gateway to the Human Capital Information Environment (HCIE), giving you access to
Agency-wide HR information and systems for hiring, training, competency management, employee benefits, and workforce management from a single location.  The Human Resources Portal has a new look and feel and has replaced the Workforce Services Portal.  The portal enables communication and collaboration among a variety of programs and communities of practice to help you manage your career and business operations as a NASA civil servant employee or supervisor.

Log into the portal today to get:
• Direct access to your personal information like your leave and earnings or your personnel action history at NASA
• Helpful information about your employees and your organization
• One-touch login to NASA HR systems
• Intuitive access to a world of HR information to help you make the best of your NASA career

Human Resources Portal Homepage

There were concerns about personal information being displayed upon logging in to the portal. We heard you. The new design has a dedicated homepage that does not contain any private information.

Password Manager

Are you an avid user of this tool? If so, don’t fret, all your existing usernames and passwords have been brought over from the old Portal to the new Human Resources Portal.

Simplified Login

The Human Resources Portal uses Simplified Login authentication, so there is no need to log in or log out - you are automatically logged out of all simplified login applications when you close your browser and logoff from your computer. For most NASA users, this means that when you log into your desktop using your Agency User ID and NCAD password or your smartcard and PIN, you can automatically access the Portal and other applications, including SATERN and Secure Web Ex.

Remember to follow good security practices and always hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and lock your workstation before you walk away. This should be done at all times to protect sensitive information on your computer.

Navigation

No more flyouts! The navigation in the Human Resources Portal is easy to use. The top tabs will take you to the landing page of each category—without using flyouts or expanded navigation lists. Also, the top and left tabs will be highlighted when you are in a category, so there will be no confusion about where you are in the Portal.

Custom Pages

Did you customize a page in the old Portal with your favorite portlets? You can do the same thing in the new Human Resources Portal, however your customized pages in the old Portal will not be brought over to the new Portal.
